Others are supported by public funds or subscription fees. A few are entirely free of charge. The New York Times is an example of a newspaper that charges for its online edition. Its website features a variety of multimedia and interactive content that is designed to appeal to an audience beyond the print version. It also offers the same content in its app version, which is available for most mobile devices.
