Entertaiment is the ability to make people feel good by releasing seratonin, dopamine and other chemicals in their brain. Entertainment can be anything from a private movie for one; a banquet adapted for two; or an event for a crowd of thousands. Entertainment is a form of recreation, often associated with amusement, but it may also serve a social, ceremonial, or religious purpose. Many forms of entertainment have proven remarkably resilient, demonstrating an apparently unlimited capacity for creative remix. The word entertain derives from the Medieval Latin intertenere, which means “hold inside.” The Indo-European root is ten, from which we get the abbreviation TEN, for Transformational Entertainment News.
